Green Drinks June

Just wanted to remind everybody about Green Drinks June! Were down at Park + Vine this coming Thursday, June 18th from 5:30-930.  Hope you can make it out, it will prove to be quite the event. Check it out.....
Also, don't for get about Green Drinks July, Thursday the 16th up at Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village on Enright Street in Price Hill, for a tour of the Village and it's gardens, to get a close up look at truly green living and urban agriculture at it's best.

May-Cincinnati Bike Month-Green Drinks

Just wanted to remind everyone about the May green drinks this Thursday at the Northside Tavern from 5:30 to 7:30.   In honor of bike month, we have Council member Greg Harris speaking a bit about the proposed Spring Grove bike corridor at 6:45. (so we could run a little later than our usual 7:30).  Also, we might have a rep from MOBO, Cincinnati's Bike Co-op, come say a few words a little earlier in the evening.  Hope you can make it out!

In addition, we have changed our summer schedule just a bit. We will be moving the Zoo green drinks to later on in the summer and instead we will be taking the July green drinks up to Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village, for a tour of the Village and it's gardens, to get a close up look at urban agriculture at it's best.  Details will follow...

Green Drinks Summer Events

Just want to let everyone know what our summer schedule of events is looking like.

In May, were going to honor Bike Month by talking Cincinnati biking at the Northside tavern and hearing from the likes of Mobo (A local bike co-op, www.mobobicyclecoop.org) and hopefully Greg Harris (the Council member who proposed the Spring Grove Ave. bike corridor).  

Then, in June were heading to Park + Vine for a natural networking event by natural awakenings that is going to be awesome.  Check it out............. 




July's Green Drinks is going to be held at the Cincinnati Zoo.  Soon to be the greenest Zoo in the world with the help of Mark Fischer, the zoo's Senior Director of Facilities & Planning. Mark is going to show us first hand how they are accomplishing this feat.

August is a long way off, but if all goes well we will be taking a cruise down the Ohio with ORSANCO (Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission, www.orsanco.org) and learning about the their organization and maybe even a little the river we all know and love.

We are getting together to celebrate the holidays at Cincinnati's green general store, Park + Vine. Come grab a drink, get some gifts, and chat it up with fellow greenies:

Green Drinks Holiday Party, Dec. 18
Embrace your inner-treehugger at Green Drinks Cincinnati's Shop Green event 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at Park + Vine. Enjoy a little camaraderie while shopping for the benefit of Imago Earth Center. Park + Vine is donating 15 percent of sales to the 16-acre wildlife preserve and education center.

Josie from Mayapple Creations will be demonstrating eco-friendly wire wrap jewelry featuring recycled sterling silver, Fair Trade recycled glass, and local woodland materials.
